1.  Simple Texts:

   • Characteristics: Everyday language, simple sentence structures, no technical terminology.

   • Examples: Personal letters, simple emails, general blog posts.

2. Medium Texts:

   • Characteristics: Somewhat more complex sentence structures, occasional technical terms, but generally understandable.

   • Examples: Business correspondence, articles from popular science magazines, marketing materials, general documents/forms for institutions.

3. Difficult Texts:

   • Characteristics: Complex sentence structures, frequent technical terminology, specific subject areas.

   • Examples: Technical manuals, non-fiction books, scientific articles, legal documents.

4. Complex Texts:

   • Characteristics: Very complex and convoluted sentence structures, highly specialized technical terminology, often in a very specific context.

   • Examples: Medical specialist literature, draft laws, patent documents, philosophical treatises, scientific books and studies.

5. Standard Line: 

A standard line consists of 55 characters.

6. Cancellation Fee: 

If an appointment for which the interpreter was scheduled is canceled, compensation is provided up to an amount equivalent to the fee for two hours, provided that certain conditions are met (§ 9 Abs. 5 JVEG). 

7. Surcharge for Special Times: 

For services rendered between 11 PM and 6 AM or on Sundays and public holidays, the fee increases by 20 percent (§ 9 Abs. 6 JVEG). 

8. Additional Time for Special Services: 

80.00 Euro per hour for additional time for special services according to Annex 2 (§ 10 Abs. 3 JVEG).
